Hmmm....Let's see what we have in the Letter bag today?

...letters we have letters....a little old, must be the MS mail system or something, but here we go...

x11.dejanews.com

Sounds like a good plan. Gates is addressing a big banking conference in New Orleans this week, pushing this software. This could very well emerge as the first decent, secure, web-based bill paying system.

Hmmm., the first decent, secure, blah, blah, blah. I'll help re-phrase to reflect more accurate up to date info. How's this... "This could very well not emerge at all and if it does it will be last to market".

It would be a welcome change from the existing proprietary systems from each individual bank, with their addional fees..

oh, those additional fees....MSFDC will be free, but of course they aren't offering anything yet, so it better be free.

Anyways---MSFDS says, they have been conducting trials since July and expect full consumer availability throughout the U.S. in early 1998. Has anybody been tracking this? What happened? were they successful

Huh? Guess not, since it's July 1998. Maybe they meant 1999?

IMHO.
