The flamer collects his thoughts. He is alone. Slowly, so slowly, he climbs the ladder, rung by shiny rung. He reaches the platform. The watching crowd grows quiet. They know what is at stake here.. He blows the air out of his lungs, adjusts his Speedo and steps to the edge of the board. He shakes his arms, he looks mean yet focused.
