Bill: Looks like the bears are carrying the day. Gold's ability to hold in the face of bad news yesterday was a one day wonder. A retest of $280 now is in the cards with a drop to $260 a good bet if $280 does not hold. But looking on the brighter side: if this kind of a final washout is necessary to end the gold bear once and for all -- the faster the better I say.

Martin Armstrong now super bullish on US bonds: He earlier predicted a final washout for gold with a bottom by late July.
