Another Barp Payne School of Arguing graduate. She loves that answer a question with a question bit. (Hi Barb)

Well since you've avoided the points I made, there is nothing I can respond to. I'm long and will remain long unless their business plan completely fails. We have experienced some bumps and bruises along the way. Management, the market and karma could have possibly changed those things some. But however rocky the road, here we are on the cusp of succesfully exploiting an emerging market with few players. Out of the old and into the new.

One day DWDM may become as commoditized as hubs and routers have, but this is the front end of the cycle. Osicom to date is suffering earnings declines by aquiring companies at the back end of the networking cycle. But that in itself is why the companies were for sale. Nobodies making good money on that stuff now. The NIC cards that built 3COM are now a dime a dozen. Hubs, routers ethernet switches are like boxes of 10 penny nails. But DWDM is only just beginning. And the other players not only are still designing metro DWDM, but they don't have the technological addons that Osicom has. Ask Cienna if they can add the sort of features to thier DWDM that Osicom has just announced, electrical networking interfaces, that put the old copper network onto the fiber ring. Osicom, by aquisition has already taken steps towards convergence, and now the products are rolling out.

What about a sattelite downlink attached to the fiber ring. Osicom has sattelite head end technology, it could be just a matter of time before they plug it into a GigaMux. Osicom is Convergent ready.
