x y z, Since you brought up the point of double negatives, I was reading a newspaper article the other day, (yes I do have a life outside of SI, however uneventful), that was about a murder/suicide. The only reason I was reading about it was because the incident happened fairly close to home. Like about four houses away. I live in a quiet neighborhood, too. Anyway, the paper said it was an "ex, former, boyfriend" that killed the woman, and then himself. Does that mean he is a current boyfriend, or that they dated more than twice and she ditched him more than once? Sorry to bring up the morbid details, but found it necessary to obtain an answer to my question. Phil
