Whatever the cause, it's a rout. Time to duck and wait for this savage beating to subside.

Somebody call me when the OSX stops nose-diving. I'm going to close my eyes now because I can't seem to find my parachute.

TMAR is hitting new 52 week lows today. What is going on with this one? I thought a large percentage of their revenue was from the North Sea area where dayrates aren't showing declines.

SESI looks like it may continue to drop and test support at the 7 3/4 to 8 range.

The way the service stocks are going I think I may just stick around. At these rates of decline they'll be paying us to buy them pretty soon.

Good luck everyone,
Gary

Global conspiracy theory raising it's ugly head again, huh?

bw, you wrote:

" Don't discount OPEC conspiracy theories at this point...They might not be quite as dumb as the general consensus seems to confirm. Wouldn't you, as the major producers in the world, try to send your competition into the tank? "

The above was exactly my point, too, as expressed at #23261 and #23343. Didn't receive a single response to my second post either. Guess we are lonely voices from way out in the provinces. Oh well, while I, too, may not be a believer yet, I still have that "nagging feeling."

After what we have seen the last several months, at least, one should concede that, "the jury is still out" on the possibility that the major producers in OPEC are attempting to regain their power to affect the World's economy and have the only military "superpower" ON-CALL to keep the them in power in the Mid-East's backyard.
