Lisa,

Hey...don't feel bad.

Last year I purchased new puter. Will not tell brand for obvious reason to follow. Had great warranty!

I was installing new internal IDE tape back up system. Win 95 would not detect. (I will not get technical but, to much stuff in the puter.) Tape backup company sent card to attach IDE tape backup to help detection and increase transfer rate.

Win 95 would detect card, but would still not detect tape backup. My newest puter is tower style, sits on floor. I left side cover off overnight, while waiting to call vender for more help. Next morning turned puter on and mother board was fried! I was pissed. Blamed tape backup company.

Long story short....got puter manufacturer to send new mother board. Tape backup vender sent parallel printer port tape drive to replace IDE drive.

After, installing new mother board, while packing old mother board, I noticed little beads of sweat on the old mother board. Hhhmm, guess I got a little nervous changing the board out. Upon further inspection, realized, cat had decided to include my new puter as part of his territory during the night. Gee, the Tomster had not marked anything since relocating to Texas from San Francisco. I wiped it clean and shipped it back.

Hhhmmm, I will...never ever leave the side off puter again.

Regards,
LG
