Napier International Technologies -I've posted this before SV-35 conforms to Boeing specs Napier International Technologies NIR Shares issued 16915083 1997-09-23 close $0.35 Wednesday Sep 24 1997 Mr James Grinnell reports Scientific Material International of Miami, Florida, a recognized facility for the aerospace industry, has delivered a second critical report confirming that Napier's SV-35 aviation paint stripper conforms with Boeing DG-17487, Revision L, Table 1 requirements for paint stripping. Napier recently announced that the SV-35 also passed all McDonnell Douglas CSD#1 Specs for removing paint from aluminum surfaces and high-strength steel components. In addition to the obvious advantages of being environmentally safe and user friendly (it is no longer necessary for workers to use protective clothing and breathing apparatus), SV-35's unique formulation actually lifts the paint by destabilizing the bond and releasing the paint, leaving the entire substrate, including rivets, perfectly clean. With the paint lifting in sheets that remain solid, recovery and clean up is greatly simplified and costs are dramatically reduced. Now that Napier's SV-35 conforms to both McDonnell Douglas and Boeing specs the company will begin an international launch of SV-35 into the large aerospace depainting industry. Management has entered into negotiations with several distributors which were awaiting these very positive results from SMI. The company anticipates a successful conclusion from these negotiations in the near future. On August 7 1997, SMI (Scientific Material International, Miami, Florida), an independent testing lab recognized by McDonnell Douglas, delivered the report that states the SV-35 conforms to sandwich corrosion, immersion corrosion, hydrogen embrittlement and cadmium removal. Napier's own research and development team worked through over 1,800 formulations before perfecting this high performance, cost effective and environmentally benign product. Through this process the team also developed what is believed to be a unique multi-faceted corrosion inhibitor which, along with the SV-35, is being patented. In addition to the advantage of being environmentally benign and user friendly, SV-35's unique formulation actually lifts paint layers by de-stabilizing the bond and releasing the paint from the substrate. With the paint lifting in sheets, recovery and cleanup is greatly simplified and costs are dramatically lowered. SV-35 was specifically engineered for the $100 million aerospace depainting industry and is expected to compete effectively with all other chemical removers, including the widely used and hazardous methylene chloride. The US Department of Defense invited the company to introduce its product in May at the Advanced Coatings Removal Conference in Las Vegas. The company will immediately commence commercial production and is seeking company representatives and distributors to handle the product. Mr Grinnell also reports The board of directors has approved a private placement consisting of 2,000,000 units at $0.15, each unit consisting of one share and one warrant exercisable over a two year period. Each warrant will entitle the holder to purchase an additional share as follows: during the first year at $0.15 and $0.20 during the second year. Proceeds will be used for working capital and further development of the company's business. (c) Copyright 1998 Canjex Publishing Ltd. canada-stockwatch.com
