Amazon is the leading retailer on the Web.

I think "Web only retailer" would be more accurate, and "leading" is debatable. Also, doesn't Dell sell a lot more product over the Web than AMZN? But, I guess they can't be a 'net leader. They make money.

Seriously, Bill, have you actually looked at the numbers on AMZN? At least with YHOO, the analysts expect them to make meaningful money in the next three years. And it's easier to debunk the longer range numbers for AMZN than YHOO (the potential for YHOO is harder to prove either way, but the AMZN numbers are a very simple fantasy).

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. You got a quick hit in AMZN due to an orchestrated squeeze and it will retrace at least to the 40s, even if this is not the ultimate top. Graciously accept the gift.

JMO,
Bob

<< OK, I'll refrain from saying that Amazon is the leading retailer on the Web. :) >>

Lots of retailers lose money. Most retailers don't sport triple digit PE's on next century earnings. Sure, go ahead and buy AMZN because Vinik is buying. Bid it up more. It will crash in good time and I will be waiting with some puts.

BTW, if it sounds like I have something personal against AMZN, I don't. I have never bought a put or shorted it......yet. Only been long.
