A $100 million order from IBM would result in about 10 million enhanced I/O chips with the WaveMeter from SMSC (and possibly NSM). The money for a so-called WaveMeter "order" would go to the chip maker, not Wave; however Wave would have a conduit in place for future revenue from PCs.

IMO, this kind of "order" will not happen anytime soon, but I may be wrong. I think the next big announcement could either be from 1) NSM agreeing to offer the WaveMeter on their I/O chips or 2) an OEM interested in implementing the security functions of the WaveMeter on both consumer and business-to-business PCs.

Could you possibly referring to the $100 mm investment IBM is making in a digital chip to compete a Texas Instruments in the wireless market which was announced in the WSJ on Wednesday?
