*** Options/trading question ***

What is the recent history of IOM stock pricing as Options time rolls along? Is it likely to end up at or near 7.5? I do note that that is where most of the Open Interest is.

Kodak selects Flash Technology as "Digital Film". Not Vapor! Bye-Bye Iomega

biz.yahoo.com
FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 11, 1998--Lexar Media, Inc., the technology leader in High Performance Digital Film(tm), announced today that Eastman Kodak Company [NYSE:EK - news] is purchasing the company's CompactFlash(tm) and PC Card flash memory products. The Lexar Media memory cards serve as removeable, reuseable digital film and are compatible with Kodak's wide-range of digital cameras...

In November 1997, Lexar Media announced CompactFlash products featuring the industry's fastest sustained write performance at 750KB per second. The company recently announced a flash memory breakthrough that permits a 1.6MB per second performance today, with anticipated write performance exceeding 3MB next year. Flash memory write performance is becoming a critical component of a camera's ability to take consecutive pictures quickly as camera resolutions continue to increase.

As is clearly evident, Kodak knows that Flash Technology is rugged, uses very little power, and is already the Standard in portable devices. Iomega's Vapor!?- A proprietary toy that could very well end up costing $$$ millions in store returns and Warranty replacements due to faulty drives and fouled discs when used in normal outdoor environments. Also, Vapor!'s write speed is only 700kb/sec. Very, very slow. Increasing speed would be very expensive, and use much more power.

Bye-Bye Vapor!

Bye-Bye Iomega.

From a Technical perspective, IOM is up in a down market... That shows strong Relative Strength... When the market turns up, IOM should be a top performer...
