>>> The
Banks are just doing what they need to do to regain control.

Recall that the banks have now consolidated power into a dozen or so national/international powerhouses. A very fractionated industry has consolidated dramatically. They are now in a position to exercise their power in a focused way and get rid of the paper-processing leaches that they have been supporting for years.

>>> That was the point...

I know, I just thought it was funny that you think like Pete. Your not thinking about next week, next month, or next year. Your thinking about 3 to 5 years down the road. (very 'admiral'able)

>>>So what MicroSoft has 9 Billion in Cash.

I agree, 9 billion in cash will be worth zero in a cash-less society
;-)

...and my wish list:

After think about it, I realize my two largest bills come from Banks (and not my own, Norwest for my mortgage, and EDS CU for my Car). It makes me realize how powerful the banks are. I've heard Jubak say "that the race is for billers", but in my case the billers are the banks. I guess what is left is Telephone, Electric, Gas and Cable. So, If I was to be selfish my wish list would be:

1. Bell Atlantic
2. Peco Energy

>>>So what MSFT has 9B in Cash<<<

Tom,

I thought the banks were just waiting to get in bed with setag
llib.Rightttt!

That comment about the banks will live in infamy. Setag lives for now, but will die a slow death in the E-Bill arena.
