Walter, RK hints otherwise, but I'm not counting on "slowing growth", nor do the analysts expect it. RS has AMZN doing as much in Q4 as in all of '97. BTW, my commentary on seasonality was based on my brother's experience as well as on BKS's and BGP's reported results.

Anyway, buying a stock at these ridiculous valuations just because one does not expect them to "disappoint" on revenue numbers is not my idea of an investment. A momentum gamble, maybe (but not for me), but certainly not an investment.

Besides, not disappointing doesn't always mean higher stock prices. Look at EGRP. They are profitable and have hardly disappointed on revenues or profits compared to Street estimates, but perceptions changed. The fundamentals never supported its run to $47, not even into the $30s IMO, but it wasn't "disappointing the Street" that brought about the fall. Perceptions simply changed. Suddenly and sharply.

Regards,
Bob
