He has published over 250 articles, covering many aspects of neonatal medicine. Professor Maisels has served many organizations and on many committees. He has been Chairman of the Subspecialty Board in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine of the American Board of Pediatrics, a consultant to the World Health Organization, and a task force member on quality assurance for the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is an Associate Editor of the Yearbook of Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine and was listed from 1992-1995 in the Best Doctors in America.
