Did anyone catch David Faber on CNBC?

David Faber on Street sign's "Faber report", in reply to CSCO's poison pill said that this morning they were wondering why CSCO would adopt such a strategy at $80 billion market cap? Well, according to David's sources, they said that the company might not always be a $80 billion company, perhaps some negative events will bring it to $50 Billion or so and make it attractive for a takeover.

David did state that this is pure speculation as to why CSCO would adopt a posion pill strategy.

Now I ask this board, is this a crock of shit or what? Why would a journalist come up with kind of crap and air it on tv even though it's "speculation?"

Eric:
The Asian crisis isn't hitting the network companies as hard as most other industries, I think. We have witnessed a number of agreements that Cisco has signed with various telcos in Asia, so I see that as a good sign. Also, keep in mind that Cisco builds its products predominately in Asia, so any devaluation of currency only helps decrease their bottom line. Perhaps that is why their margins increased last quarter....
