you'll get the short term rebound after the earnings season (actually I think it will be even sooner) BUT that still won't be the start of the l/t uptrend.

Kid,
I've agreed with and supported most of your tactics over the last
6 months, you've had some pretty good calls to date. This time
I am going to disagree with your assessment. There are virtually
no profits to be had in the semi's at this point, layoffs are occurring
or are imminent at most companies and orders are decreasing.
WHERE"S THE BEEF??? Why will investors/funds hold a
decreasing asset with little to no short/mid term growth potential.
Any investment in this sector now is pure speculation,IMO. The B2B
in the semi equip sector has a long way to go to reach bottom and
as others have pointed out, it will need to drag along the bottom
for a while to establish a base from which to establish a new
growth cycle. The economic fundamentals just don't indicate any
upside momentum at this time, IMHO. Fund managers will wait to
see an improvement in the business climate and an increasing B2B
before investing in the semi-equips. The trick will be to make a move
before the funds do to maximize gains, but this must be done from
a point close to the bottom, we are not there yet.

Just my opinion,
BB
