I know the Istar story well. The day they went public, only thing I though was really smart was their stock symbol, WWW. It opened up and went up because of all the internet hype that was going on at that time. Never bought at or after IPO. But being in Ottawa, I did follow the story and the down trend with detached interest. Now that the CEO is part of DXX, well not so detached. Lets see how this unfold.

FWIW, another e-commerce type outfit that I found, a bit late, has gone through the roof. Mpact Immedia. The day I noticed them, due to insider buying (there is a thread on canadian insider buying on SI), the stock jumped to 8 1/2 or so and I thought might pull back but ofcourse it never came down. Now with Bell stake, it is even harder to analyze and it keeps inching up on very low volume.
