And the Japan situation is not as bad as the press say's.

Mark, you obviously haven't looked at Japan's economic stats lately.

I've learned to turn off those CNN boys along time ago

Like you tune out any consideration of fundamentals?

Bob

Mark,

I ran across this over at the K-Tel SI thread, and I couldn't resist:

<<The book market is an annual 84 billion dollar industry that is growing and Amzn has positioned itself well and has only begun to tap that market. Then theirs the music business and the video business...>>

Mark....profit as we see things now is over 2 years away....How many changes should we see by then in this market? The market place does not leave a vacuum for long....2 years is a life cycle for many companies...You delude yourself to think that AMZN can grow with any certainty to justify this market cap....Even perfect management decisions will have trouble living up to these expectations....

You are correct when you say that shorts alone cannot take this market up like this, but add to that the momentum players and those who simply have to own a stock that "has no ceiling"....There is no rational behavior to justify purchasing at this level. The attitude that you will not sell, to avoid paying the taxes has always been a poor reason to hold a mania stock.

You don't believe this is a mania stock but, if not, this will be the first time in recorded history that 21 times sales wasn't.....

I wish you well.....

Not short but contemplating the puts....

Mike
