"express my thoughts on this issue" .

What makes you think I have thoughts on this issue? gg

Actually, I kind of like the uncertainty in the air. Sort of a charged atmosphere.

Telxon's PTC-1184DX wireless penbased computer with JavaOS thin client should be a winner. This and the PTC1124 with Java client. Both of these are what Symbol is after (besides reduced competition) and could be a desirable new addition to Symbol's product line. Telxon AirAware software for mobile information systems could replace the beleaguered Bellcore AirBoss enterprise software used by Symbol.

Telxon's handheld computer product line is simply more advanced and innovative than Symbol's. It's cheaper to buy these already designed products from Telxon than to develop them at Symbol. Plus they would get an experienced engineering staff - in handheld computer design. That is tough to find on the open market.

What's Telxon's hurry?

On to basketball. Fine seeing Dennis Rodman outscore Karl Malone in the 4th quarter - yes?

Cordially,

Shelia

TLXN just released they spent $1.7M last QTR of our money to defend against the take over. Money well spent? Don't think so. BTW, they also stated they expect to meet expectations essentially through 1999.
