Maurice:

You now have a chance to implement "Winn's Pricing Principles"--with Hyundai's exit from being a G* service provider, you can step in and assume that role in your native NZ! Imagine Maurice in the super secret control room, tracking usage by the second, barking out price change info to his subordinates, letting his hair and nails grow long, skipping meals, consumed by his command! Go for it Maurice! You can take the service provider of the year awards and set an example for all of G* with your innovative pricing strategies.

(Note: I am kidding of course, but something tells me that Maurice has already played out this scenario in his own mind.)

Maurice -

What a difference a day or so makes!!!

There appears to be a self perpetuating devaluation cycle going on in a region of the world that only a few months ago was slated as the engine for world growth.

Even the Kiwi got clouted yesterday and there appears to be nop end in sight. In these circumstances it seem to me you have two choices:-

1. Bite the bullet take the loss and get out--- which I guess most of won't do

OR

2. Stay in and watch as the next lurch downwards wipes out the majority of our inveewsment and makes it just too painful to get out.

I think that the last time we saw what we are just enteriing ie in 1930 what happened to most people was no 2. and I guess its goin to happen again.

As regards the Q I suppose we should really be thankful that given its main non-US markets are Korea, Russia, Japan, Singapore and Congo we are still in the $40s.

Wat a boat we're ni here with Q but I must admit that the company is great and even if we are in the $40s I still read Greggs posts and will continue to do so.

Regards,

L
