bjoseph- Both Carol and I have posted a number of messages we've received from users. There have also been a number of posts on this thread and on the Yahoo thread that have also been by people in the export/import business. The general consensus that I've construed so far is that the site as a concept is great and fills a real need. However, though, at this moment, the site isn't everything that it can be or is- admittedly -intended to be. Regarding the difference between concept and reality, as noted by Carol , Proxicom has four crews working to ad features like the search function added last week. Plus PNL is adding features like the DJ news last week and Swift Transfer today. Shortly, I believe the printing and forms will be added as well and as promised. One could argue that the web site was launched prematurely. Or one could also argue that by launching the site "not complete", PNL allowed for user input during a quasi "beta phase" to make their service more responsive. The traders make the first argument. The investors, who realize that companies aren't built overnight, realize the second argument is more accurate. As I've said before, PNL's stock price has been one of timing and not of valuation. PNL is in the "hottest" sector right now and everyone trading or investing equities in this sector believes that every internet stock is going to rise like KTEL or like the example I gave today of Inktomi. The "hype" wasn't pumping in the traditional sense because PNL is adding the features and services as promised. The only reason that the "hype" is being perceived as hype is because everyone may have mistakenly believed that all these features and services would be in place on day one. This was never promised. Now that PNL has decided to concentrate on implementing all the features from all the partners, and Zagoren has decided not to market these features and services until they have been implemented, PNL will no longer be accused of hyping or making false promises. Please again remember that PNL has delivered ...give or take an hour...on EVERYTHING it said it would WHEN it said it would. Though the valuation of the stock has been on a roller coaster, and everyone wishes they had the foresight and hindsight to sell at the top (rebuy at the bottom, resell at the top), only experienced (and "lucky") day traders, with a trader's mentality, have the detachment to react accordingly. I'm an investor by nature, and not a day trader. I study the companies and base my buy and sell decisions upon whether or not a company is able to implement its business plan and what its business is. If I felt PNL wasn't taking the steps it has been taking, I would have sold a long time ago. So as an investor the fundamentals are still in place and are being daily reinforced. Regarding PNL's business, e-commerce in general is new. Using the internet as a full service commerce tool for import and export is new and changes the way business has always been done. However, these changes provide greater access and references for a greater number of companies. The services provided by PNL also allows a business to concentrate on doing its business. By cutting through the red tape (tariffs and exchange rates) and facilitating the drudgery (paperwork), business can build their businesses and build better relationships. As an analogy, since you said you are an architect, look at CAD. CAD expedites production (IMO the drudgery) and actually leaves more time for design. Some advanced software allows you to extract all your drawings from a 3-D model. Project management software helps you better manage your projects. All the online sources for architects allows one to do better research on new materials to write tighter specs You email all your drawings to your consultants. Plus, I'm even doing a project where I'm going to have drawings on a Intranet site for online modification. The purpose of my analogy is to pose the question were all the above items done 10 years ago? Or five years ago? In your business, architecture, change is happening rapidly. The change doesn't change what your business is, but it helps you do your business more efficiently. The computer, software, and the internet have changed and are changing the way architects produced drawings and other means of visualization and production. These new "tools" replaced tools that had been used for the past 100 plus years. IMHO ProNetLink with the partnerships it has formed, will also change how business has always been conducted. Again, it will make these changes not by changing the businesses, but by allowing businesses to be more efficient with their time so that these businesses can concentrate on growth and providing better services rather than the red tape and drudgery I cited above. ztect
