Judy:

On gas I assume crude is dropping due to IRAQ sales and the continued asian problems (currency issues are also showing up in latin america, hindsight on this one). Retail, we'll we're entering the summer driving season and the refiners always like to squeeze us for all we're worth.

The market doing a rounding top matches the S&P earnings. I'd expect earnings for the S&P to be a problem for the next couple of quarters. Companies like CAT, Deere, GE (their manufacturing side anyway but remember their main profit generator is capital and financial services) are going to have problems with the $$ strengthening.

The winners will be retail. A lot of refinancing going on. Lower rates are like a tax cut.

I'm by Hartford, AETand OHXP territory.
