Ramsey - re: a potential hedge for being too "long" equities. The few people on this thread who know me well know that I trade Eurodollar futures. These (being long, recently) have actually been sort of a half-a--ed hedge against being long Qualcomm, especially since the two often move (in opposite directions) on Asian stuff. There are a couple of problems with me recommending "rush to your nearest FCM (futures commission merchant) (i.e., commodities brokerage firm) and try to duplicate what I am doing" -- I have been doing this since 1978, and I have gone through a lot of "ugly" periods.
