Does the 5-day arms signal the tech bloodbath that is going to hit tomorrow?

Best wishes,

bearshark,
Good point. And that seems to be true with most indicators.I had a friend that purely used a mechanical trading system for currencies and futures.I got in more trouble last year trying to enter oex puts when I "listened" to his sell signals!:(
Regards,
Barbara

5-Day ARMs confirmation. In the note I am responding to, which I have also posted below, I provided some of my very basic rules on the 5-day ARMs. One of those is a call against the trend.

Message 4827484

Although the 5-day ARMs is generally unreliable, incorrect calls against the trend tend to confirm the trend. This was the case in the early 1998 up-trend. For the past few days, the 5-day ARMs has been giving a buy signal and confirming the downtrend.

Although no one indicator is valid by itself, this provides further evidence that the trend is down.
