DAVE---That is the reason I ask the question ? ---It was supposed to be for 1.5 billion to 2 billion dollars . I can not explain the difference unless the news source got the wrong number .

I noticed the size of the writeoff, it sounds high, but then again I really did not see any numbers around prior to the announcement. Several on the Dell thread have commented that they feel CPQ is throwing a bunch of inventory into the number. It's a concern, but my main concern is the new verbiage where all of a sudden the next quarter is now a 'transition quarter' (translation, more polite BS, we really mean that although we said it would take two quarters before BTO and inventory issues will be dealt with, we were wrong...). It will be interesting to see the Street's reaction, if I were an analyst I certainly would question Pfeiffer and Mason on exactly what they think 'transition' means in terms of financial performance going forward.
