All: Am I the only one who has listened to this damned CC yet? Geeze.. Halla is one honest Son of a Bitch. Basically he said: We screwed up our LAN business. But we are gonna toss what we have so far, and launch new product and be early with gigabit.. (shouldn't have happened, but it's fixed now.. so this is good news). Serious cost cutting. Portland Fab ROCKS!.. 13:00ish of the cc: First MII run through portland yeilded 67% at .25um Analog doing better now.. orders comming back from asia (not much but a little). Flat revenues comming. August quarter looking for operating loss of $.42 to $.37. November quarter looking for 5-6% revenue recovery. Cyrix benefitting strongly in this q from Portland. Lan group bring new products online. Those aside, november quarter (assuming flat market) a loss of $30-$40 million. All in all it was very conservative. Not saying to look for anything so it will be hard to be disappointed. Cyrix related news: A lot of "hidden" optimism about the Cyrix product line. It seems to be recovering (that's what I got) and will perhaps grow into decent profitability next Q (although Halla wouldn't come out and say it). Next post will detailed interesting/good Q&A sections. Steve
