Dave,
I now have my browser load a blank page when I start up because the worldnet homepage would flood my system for at least close to a minute before I could get it to take a command. I don't even use their homepage. A lot of pages do that to my system. It could be a combination of my slow computer, Netscape and worldnet (lousy) service. I don't really know yet. I called worldnet and they had me do a few things that speeded up the browser for a short time but it has returned to the same old thing.

All,

Most of the long delays associated with loadng sites you describe are from the loading and initialization of the Java VM to run java applets or javascript embeded in the pages. JAVA is an excellently archectected OO language but in the real world its hardly a cross platform/browser standard yet...
