(AMAT down in > hours trading)

jtechkid:

I don't know if AMAT is down or not. But the ASMLF warning indicated it is weakness from Taiwan. Since Taiwan was the last hope for Senior AMAT maybe that's the reason. Or maybe as I think it is when a dominant company like ASMLF says things really suck then people might assume that dominant AMAT will be likewise affected (duh!). Taiwan is hurting right now (relative to Taiwan this hurting is not bad but it does mean that AMAT will have less from Taiwan and that has got to hurt)

Shane.

Jtech,
You said you are a professional investor, however, your comments sound emotional based on your position in the stock. Until last week you were saying everything was wrong with the Semi Equipment fundamentals. Now, you are long and everything looks positive, what happened so fast?
I like AMAT long term, but I believe there is no reason for the stock to go up in the next 2-3 months. In fact, I expect AMAT to test low 20s. Even if it goes up in the next few days, it will quickly come back as people see no reason to have their money tied up in the stock.
