Waitress 24 post regards DHI--her posts are always significant---

Talked to the CFO two days ago before the stock price move. He mentioned that he was quite
comfortable with $1.50 for fiscal year 1998- meaning that target would be easily exceeded.

He also mentioned that the order rate for May was in the mid-30's after a high order rate in
April as well. I mentioned that if the order rate growth continues at these levels won't earnings
for next year grow at a rate equivalent to the order rate. he mentioned that earnings would
probably grow higher than the order rate because the trend is for revenues to grow faster than
expenses because of price increases.

While the order will probably slow somewhat in the future. earnings estimates for this stock are
way too low.

With mortgage rates coming down, the institutions are lookings for a sure bet in earnings with
no Asia exposure. Hello DHI!
