Frank, we can probably add another 5 bucks for the hospital to make the stick, thus they are now charging 20+ for an $8 test. Thus the available market per test is about $8 minus the hospital cost of administering the test.

And that's just the lab analysis. You've got to pay the heel-pricker, you've got the syringe (how much are those, they're not reusable), and the associated paranoia/extra care/insurance around any blood procedure. 1 to 2 bucks per test to the hospital is sounding way too low.

But: CCSI did not counter this. Why? Are they afraid to let us know what it is?
