There is no logic to buying or shorting AMZN. It popped 8+ points today on a sharp pullback in all of the indexes. Look for it to run even further; why don't you hedge your position with a call that is 2-3 months out?

Allan, I am shorting AMZN as soon as it turns down again. But so far I have been wrong on AMZN............

Hi Allan: I am also short AMZN from 43 and have October puts bought at 51 and 59. The last few days remind me of ZITL in Dec 96-total blowoff top. The difference is AMZN is a real company with a future. Right now the stock is being moved by momentum players and short covering. I am comfortable with my position. I think it could turn own as quickly as it has run up.

Best,

Timoteo
