Looking at the news tells me,, common sense wise..
Where did Pure Water Science get an idea to go in to mortgage business.. Belize per capia of USD 200 per annum ,, the median homes are $11,000 ,, what kind of money will they make,, I know that interest rates are exhorbitant and there is a strict foreign currency repatriation policy ,, further , they will be competing with national banks,, Further I hate it when OTC especially pink sheet claimes to be a Nasdaq stock ,, why bother Rock ,,

I like your web site better ,, ;-)

Purewater/PanAmerican Bancorp to Begin Funding Mortgages in Central America in Late Summer

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 11, 1998--Purewater Sciences International Inc. announced the completion of the merger with PanAmerican BanCorp, an international mortgage and finance company.

PanAmerican/Purewater (NASDAQ: PRWT) announced the start of their first major subdivision in Belize. The slab foundations are being poured this month and model homes will be ready for the September inauguration. During the month of September, Belizeans celebrate their independence.

PanAmerican has chosen then to start taking the first applications for mortgages. The company has over 300 qualified, interested people looking to buy homes in Belize. This first subdivision will total some 1800 homes with Phase I covering approximately 500 homes.

The pass-thru certificates totaling $10 million being issued to fund these loans have already been placed in the secondary market, subject to final documents. The final documents and language will be in place by the expected October closings. Once the first wave is accomplished, PanAmerican expects to issue more certificates to fund the estimated $150 million plus in mortgage money needed in Belize alone. PanAmerican BanCorp intends to continue to participate and grow in the expanding global mortgage markets, as well as the growth mortgage markets in America.

>> The bid ask was actually BID 0.016 ASK 0.0165 <<

A true penny, so to speak. The 52 week high on this is .019

Figure, a player buys in 100,000 shares at .016 for $1600. If it moves to it's 52 week high, he makes $300. Decent return, but it could also tank to it's 52 week low of .001 thereby rendering your 100,000 shares into a pittance of $100. The news today also did not move the stock much. Does the company have more news on the way or was this it?

No intention to bash, just curious about why you feel this is a worthy investment.
