Jacob, a rumor from Herb on street.com...

Chip-making melee: More bad news for chip-equipment making
biggies Applied Materials (AMAT:Nasdaq) and ASM Lithography
(ASMLF:Nasdaq), of the Netherlands. Taiwan Semiconductor
(TSM:NYSE ADS) is a big customer of both, and sources say it's
seeking to push out the delivery of equipment until the end of the year --
and then only after renegotiating prices. Applied execs couldn't be
reached, but Taiwan Semi has seen better days. Yesterday Merrill
Lynch analyst Derek Tien sliced earnings estimates on the company,
citing, in part, an oversupply of capacity. The company is on schedule
for construction of a new clean room, but Tien added that "the
management is ready to hold back expansion" of two fabs if business
doesn't improve by next month.

OT... I agree that AMZN is too expensive, just not as ridiculous as YHOO. If the current trend continues, YHOO's market cap will pass AMAT. Guess AMAT needs a better web site to turn around the stock price:)
