Tom, I've been reading the Newsgroups for
the consoles. V8 is getting some great posts,
people are comparing it to Twisted Metal???.
I guess it's like I-76 for the PC, It was
a hit for ATVI, hope V8 is to.
There isn't much for Pitfall though, i did
notice that Wallmart has restocked the game
3 times since it's release in my area.
I see ATVI signed more publishing deals today.
It looks like Kotic is going to let the developers
use all of his toys to make games, then publish
and get them on the shelfs. They have all the
infrastructure in place to do this, is it going
to work?. I personally like the idea, they can
let the developers work at there own pace and make
great games, no more rush jobs.
TTWO seems to be doing the same thing, it looks like
they are still building the distribution network, and
are busy going after the developers to. Interesting
developments in the Industry, i see Interplay is going
to go public, Rumors of this company buying that company,
new console systems announced, and E3 seems to have been
so-so. The sector sure took a beating, that's for sure.
I picked up Unreal, very pretty game, killer system
requirements, and the multiplayer totally sucks. It's
a great game engine though,I think ATVI should license
a game using it. Any game that comes out using it will
sell well.
