My opinion is that it will be nearly impossible to tell when the deal will be signed by observing stock price/volume movement. Most people who know about the deal have already bought in, and we've had so many false alarms that we won't be able to tell the "real rumor" from past ones. As for "friends telling friends" if any of them act enough to influence the stock price, they will be in BIG trouble and I'm sure anyone close to the deal has been enlightened on the penalties of insider trading. Activity from institutions, MMs, and other investment entities close to RNTK's financing might signal, but probably in the last 30 minutes of the trading day before the announcement, thus not giving us enough time to realize it's the real thing and act. Anyway, I hope the big day is close by for all of us ! Chris

The problem with the run up in volume theory is that too many people have been spooked from this stock. What you think the traders volume will increase? Yeah right, they are going to tip their hand. The retail buying is spooked, let us count the reasons why they should be, ready, go. Stop when you get to 10 reasons. Let see retail buying is spooked, deal or acquisition pending, sounds like a good time to accumulate (quitely) without having a run up. " Pigs getting slaughtered." You probably would have had a spike yesterday on a rumor yet none. Blondes have more fun. Was that Rod Stewart? Look at the surge in postings here and Yahoo, and the sense that a deal of some sort is going to happen. ~OT~ By the way mortgage rates hit a low yesterday, David look for resistance at 5.5 long bond = 7% no pts no closing cost 30 yr.
