UPDATE: Church of Intel die-hards marching on.

After having their fantasy wish list fulfilled, the die-hards of the Church of Intel were issued new marching orders.

The true believers of COI are truly feeling better, as their competitor NSM has met its demise after a myriad of problems. The highly acclaimed MediaGx doesn't make money, and Cyrix stopped innovating when National bought them. NSM lost $500 for every computer sold in the Universe. People are loyal to the Intel brand name as they find Celeron a really good processor, and PII worth the price premium. True to its claims, Intel sales tactics are totally above board, and the FTC investigation is completely off base. As the highly touted PCOAC won't work, Slot 1/2 are again worth the price premium. Intel stock will go back up this millennium.

The die-hards have finally reached their climatic pleasure, and nothing remains except expecting their hardware to become smaller and smaller. Now they are ready for their ultimate destination. Following their orders from their sect leader St. Paul, the die-hards are taking Viagra pills, and marching to the office of Dr. Kervokian.

Scumbria - Your Top Ten

1. MediaGx doesn't make money. - It hasn't yet.

2. Cyrix stopped innovating when National bought them. - Not necessarily - but AMD and Intel haven't stopped innovating either.

3. People are loyal to the Intel brand name. - Many millions are - how many are loyal to National/Cyrix?

4. Celeron is a really good processor. - It's pretty good for the price.

5. PII is worth the price premium. - Sales support this fact - Halla stated that 90% of all new Taiwan Motherboards are Slot 1 - there is a message here for even you.

6. Intel sales tactics are totally above board. - They haven't been convicted of anything illegal.

7. The FTC investigation is completely off base. - They haven't been convicted of anything.

8. PCOAC won't work. - it may work. Will NSM make a profit on it?

9. Slot 1/2 are worth the price premium. - Halla stated that 90% of all new Taiwan Motherboards are SLot 1 - there is a message here for even you - a second message.

10. Intel stock will go back up this millenium. - Maybe - if it doesn't, what makes you think NSM's stock would do any better? Intel isn't LOSING MONEY!
