Chess I don't know if I ever played anyone higher than 2400. Watched them in tournaments a lot. Andrew Soltis is one guy I would watch a lot. I think he was only a few years older than me. I hated tournament chess. It was an incredible grind and I never did as well as I could have, I don't think. Inter-school match play was easier for me. In four years I only lost one game, my very last one 3 weeks before graduation. At that point all I wanted to do was graduate.
