First I've seen of Farrell. Seems like a nice guy. Haines redeemed himself a bit for me with his last question, giving Farrell a chance to discuss the business model. Seemed to me that Farrell stressed the right points: the long term and multi-platform nature of the license, the THQ strategy of making money on modest sales and running with the winners.

He did a very good job, although he was only on for 5 minutes or so.

Jim Rogers asked what would happen if the Internet were to replace the game consoles. Farrell said that THQ has ALL electronic publishing rights for WWF: Internet, satellite, consoles, PC, hand-held, etc. THQ thinks the deal will be great for shareholders, as it is a long-term contract. He stressed that THQ has been consistently profitable because it runs the company like a business: manage the downside and run with the upside.

He didn't get a chance to discuss Quest or Granstream, but he did say that THQ's plan is to build a portfolio of titles, rather than relying on the "hit" games.
