ann, u must open 2 roth accounts. one is called "converted roth"
and another one is your plain vanila "roth".
u can not mix the two right now.

so in roth. u can only add 2k this yr. does not need to be transftered from ira. and how would u pay double taxes i don't understand ur question. u r contributing cash for the 1st time.

2nd: your converted roth: any mony that comes in here must come thru your ira account ( not 401k), so u have to roll ur 401k to ira then roll that to roth.
U SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO PAY DOUBLE TAXES EVER...

Oracle is in line to beat estimates and announce a special deal
with someone big with the earnings press release. Price will
be above $ 30.00 by Friday or more. Shorts will be hurting. I think
about 16 million will be hurting. There is also no whisper number
coming from anybody legitimate I know in the trading bus. yet.
Just rumors about numbers from scared , lying shorts.

NEGATIVE NEWS ON ORCL................

Let's not focus too much on the whisper numbers. In my opinion it is pretty likely
that ORCL will meet the expected EPS for their
fourth quarter... but they will not see the growth that the analysts expect in product
licensing, that is their core business of
database, and applications.... The growth will likely be strong in services, i.e.
technical support, education, consulting etc. These
results will be alarming to analysts and will be followed by downgrades... stock will
be priced at 21 by week's end.

For long term investors, do not check what happens to ORCL this week. They are
possibly going to beat the estimate by a peeny
and possibly miss it by a penny, wahtever. The real drama is, the guidance they are
going to give the street is not going to be too
favorable. In fact, it will be horrible.

ORCL is still having problems (they need to focus--the Network PC has been a huge
drain on resources and talent, and has
mainfest itself by way of bugs showing up in their latest versions of RS DB
software)and Japan has fallen off the face of the earth
in terms of revenue growth (run the numbers from last 2 announcements, then read
to 10Ks--you will rightly get worried).

I am not short this stock, but I do pay massive attention to internal cash flows,
especially from operations. ORCL's cash flow
position has been dwindling rapidly, nowhere near offset enough by cost-cutting or
inventory shifting. Even rapid end-of-month
accounting has run its limit.

It is also wise to forget about the whisper crap being posted on this board. Most of
these people have no idea how to do strong
fundamental analysis and their trading prowess is well, well, let's just say a figmant
of their fertile imagination. They are nothing
but people trying to think they are good traders by buyig and selling stocks based on
not one wit of why they are doing it. Be wary.

The last time I came on this board was when ORCL was at $34-35 (in the
fall/winter last year) and I was saying how worried
ORCL looked and that people might want to think about getting the hell out of ORCL
before the crap hit the fan. The picture was
in the cash flow position and little tidbits in the 10ks.

I am trying to warn you small investors again. Based on the fundamental pictures
inside ORCL, and the TA (true TA analysis on
ORCL's pre-3 weektrading is flashing serious warning signals) currently existing, be
very careful of trying to play ORCL this week.

Maybe I am off my rocker, but I see ORCL at $21-22 by MON of the following week.
The last time I was off my rocker was when I
said ORCL was worrisome in the mid $30s and that I saw it possibly going to the low
$20s. And this is coming from someone with
experience in trading and daytrading ORCL many times in the past.

I am not bragging. JUST TRYING TO SAY: BE CAREFUL!!!
