re: Fighting deflation

I must admit, Greenspan's stance does not do much for me. My hand does not go to my wallet to quickly. The furtue is too uncertain, and the prospect of lower prices in the future for homes, cars, stocks, etc. makes cash seem good.

I wonder, at times, how much of that is from reading SI. My friends, and those around Boston seem to be spending just fine.

Still, the euphoria of just 6 months ago seems far off, and six months out its hard to see that the euphoria has returned.

My sales reciepts from local retailers still list a bevy of job openings though. That is certainly a sign of good times for labor.

Regards,
Lee
