Analysis - Weak market sinks all ships. NSCP dropping is more about the whole tech sector of the market and $$ looking for safe havens. Internet stocks are more volatile so we see them move more. Ultimately long term realities set in -- NSCP continues to be one of the few true top plays in the Internet space and is well positioned to take advantage of brand and market share. If for no other reason than as a long term buyout by a mainstream media company, the stock is probably already below bottom. Not bottom in a short term day trading sense, but in a long term (Read Internet long term = 3-6 months) sense. I expect by Tuesday to have recovered today's loss and then some. Easy few bucks to be made at 22 to 23. IMHO, of course :-)

Interesting article in the WSJ today about television networks releasing analysis of Internet usage vs. TV viewing -- suggestion that a market segment is doing both at the same. Anyone out there from the advertising business? If this is true, that audiences are viewing both Internet and TV at the same time, it suggests that brand advertisers may move to apply "roadblock" tactics currently used on TV to insure that a channel surfer sees a particular ad to the Internet. If I am Ford -- I don't want you to miss my brand message. Can I buy the same time slot on major Internet sites as my ad buys are running on TV so that I can make sure you get my message (and have it reinforced?). Thinking along these lines, it starts making more and more sense to have traditional ad teams selling Interactive.

Attended a Jupiter breakfast earlier this week -- their head Internet Advertising analyst had some similar arguments about why major media brands are finding it more successful to match Internet ad sales with traditional ad sales -- I see some interesting market shifts by Q4 of this year.
