A little new item: SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 12, 1998--A class action suit filed November 5, 1997 in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California alleging S3 Incorporated (Nasdaq:SIII - news; ''S3'') and certain of its officers and directors with violations of the federal securities laws has been voluntarily dismissed. The class action was filed on behalf of purchasers of S3 common stock during the period July 15, 1996 to November 3, 1997. Plaintiffs' allegations that S3 and its senior-most officers and directors, directly and indirectly, provided false and misleading information to the market, issued materially false financial statements and a series of materially false and misleading statements about S3's operations, customers and future prospects will continue to be prosecuted in the Superior Court of the State of California for Santa Clara County under the caption In re S3 Securities Litigation, Master File No. CV770003. Plaintiffs in the California state court action seek to recover damages on behalf of all purchasers of S3 common stock during the period April 18, 1996 to November 3, 1997 (the ''Class Period''), which includes the same class period pleaded in the recently dismissed federal action. Plaintiffs in the California state court action against S3 are represented by appointed lead counsel Milberg Weiss Bershad Hynes & Lerach LLP and Spector & Roseman, P.C., who have expertise in prosecuting investor class actions and extensive experience in actions involving financial fraud. The voluntary dismissal mentioned above does not preclude others from bringing a federal action. However, the statute of limitations requires that federal claims for securities law violations be filed within one year after obtaining knowledge of the facts constituting the violation. Accordingly, persons considering filing federal claims against S3 or others should investigate as soon as possible the filing deadline for their claims. To discuss the California state court class action against S3, your right to file an individual federal claim or any other questions concerning this notice or your rights or interests, please contact plaintiffs' co-counsel, William Lerach or James Caputo of Milberg Weiss at 800/449-4900 or via e-mail at wsl@mwbhl.com or Robert Roseman of Spector & Roseman at 888/844-5862 or via e-mail at spro@voicenet.com . This notice is not intended to provide legal guidance or advice, nor should it be understood as doing so. I don't know if this is just one or is inclusive Regards Bill
