Meet Victor 'Citi' Menezes-CFO Citibank.

Victor 'Citi' Menezes

You can take some money out of him but you can never take the Citi out of him. Such is the dedication of the 49-year-old Victor Menezes towards his organisation. He was one of the earliest Indians to make his mark on the global money scene.

Born and brought up in Pune, Victor did his graduation from the prestigious IIT, Mumbai before flying out to the US to further his reputation at MIT. An out-and-out Citibanker for the past 26 years, Victor has fast risen through the ranks to his current position as the Chief financial officer of Citicorp.

He was widely tipped to become the President of Citibank but the recent merger between Citi and Traveler's Group did change the ascension priority as majority of the top positions have gone to Traveler executives in the merged identity - Citigroup.

Victor will now head the corporate banking operations. Not that the ultimate successor has been announced, insiders believe he has the edge over others. Well, well .if Citi is his middle name, there's Victory in his first name.
