Just flew in from my month-long vacation to Greece, Turkey and Italy and am perusing the 2000 posts here since I left on 6/8.

scba, Riechers - Have reached your 6/12 posts (# 27618-19) on Arnold .... met him and Maria (nee Shriver) as well as Pat Riley 2 days ago in my Milan Hotel lobby (it was/is Men's Fashion Week).... I wanted to assure you both that ARNOLD was very friendly but knew little abou CPQ and its future <gg>.

Attempting to follow CPQ and the market in a timely fashion was challenging although I was able to see CNBC (ah timely home news) in Florence, on board my 1 wk cruise thru the Greek/Turkish Islands and Milan was a delight otherwise newspapers were a day or 2 old with only midday prices and CNN/I was frustrating and almost a complete waste.

A little sniipette - I believe on this day, 6/12, during my train ride from Venice to Florence I met this woman wearing a COMPAQ t-shirt ...she turned out to be a CPQ sales training instructor (who has previously worked for DEC) on vacation ... in discussing the new CPQ she was very high on our future and thought there would be a lot of leverages to be garnered.

Oh well, another 1000 post to go to reach the present. I am finding it interesting, although not very informative so far reviewing all these posts.

I am still a long term CPQ bull but so far am somewhat disappointed about the the potentially "weak" financial aspects of the coming 3rd qtr .. I had hoped the 2nd qtr would have ended the wait and see.

More later ... but THANK YOU all for continuing to post while I've been away !!
