we must also remember that day rates differ relative to the size of the transport vessel. given that TMAR's ships serving the gulf are, on average, larger than its three main competitors, it commands a higher average day rate. so, TDW's average day rates will differ from those of TMAR's given the age and size of vessels serviced.

i just came from a conference where it was stressed that M. Price, although serving a different function under Franklin Templeton, is still very active at mutual shares relative to overall style and selection. it would have already hit the street if mutual shares were selling TMAR. given their advice to institutions relative to buying TMAR for wrap accounts, the price would be lower had this occurred i beleive. i've heard nothing. maybe someone has.

the GCC is meeting next Tuesday to discuss further tightening. Paine Webber just upgraded oil stocks, including Tosco, Chevron, Amerada Hess, Atlantic Richfield, and many others claiming the stocks considerably oversold, with many selling at 1995 levels. members of the GCC include most of OPEC.
