Nice expose, John. But you know what? It doesn't matter. It is sad that people choose this as a way to make a living. But the futility of it all is what is fascinating. Why on earth would they want to oppose the "rocketeers," when there really is not such thing other than in spirit. The spirit of finding good companies, investing, and holding. We have no web site, no newsletter, so there is nothing for them to bring down. We are just individual investors investing our own money as we see fit. As far as I know, none of them has acess to my trade account. They certainly are not going to bring down Investing 101 in favor of P&D. And they certaingly are not going to bring down a solid company that will produce tremendoues revenues in the future. I suppose if they are paid hourly by shorting firms, that is their day job, but what a way to make a living :-)

Great article,

Unfortunately it easy for inexperienced investors (I was one for too long) to see their $$'s declining, and bail out, only to see the stocks bounce back. Even when one has confidence in their research, the stock fundamentals, etc. it's easy to react when others are spreading doubts - and often enough people react so that the 'predicted' drop in price becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and they can then proclaim how they warned other poor investors.

But I do have to thank them for giving me this chance to buy DGIV below 5. :)
