The thinking took place in the late '70s. I'm disappointed that I feel I have to trot it all out again. I suspected as much when the FED caved in on discipline in Aug '82 and followed that with the abandonment of money supply targeting and re-invention of demand management. They are a bank gone mad and their pretense to knowledge will have to be punished by the rise of gold. They hate gold more than anything because it means they can't do the good the were put here to do and they can't maintain control. You have to be a developer to get into lots of headaches with the latest release of MSFT products. They send it to us with all our screwball configurations so that they get a second order beta done for free.
