Nice sentimentality in your post.. yes a sad end to an era. I saw a video not too long ago called "Triumph of the Nerds". This was a show on PBS that chronicled the PC industry and it is very profound and lets you into who made what mistakes and did the right thing by changing and reinventing themselves. Gates was a consistent re-inventer - regardless it was a very enlightening video. Best technology is all over the place - Apple, Xerox Research Park (Palo Alto) IBM, etc. etc.

hosseini--- I hope no one gets tired posting here,,, but if so you are more than welcome on the CPQ thread. this should all end as one big happy family. Luck to all the DEC and CPQ employees getting pink slips. If what we read about the employment figures they may do well...
