Joey,

Great buying opportunity at these levels. This stock will not be down here for long given that K6-2 is selling out. Since AMD was in the process of converting their fab from 0.35u to 0.25u during the quarter, they are still carrying considerable inventory at the larger geometry (0.35u). These devices are only 200 & 233MHz and, as you know, entry level in the market is now 266MHz. Since the yield issues are behind AMD, and since they will likely dump their remaining 0.35u at the end of this quarter, I suspect that Q398 will be a different story. Expect K6-2 product announcements from all of the major retailers soon with the exception of Dell. Celeron is not selling well in the low-end ($699 - $899)or mid-range ($999 - $1299) and Intel can only sell Classic Pentium MMX in this space. They'll discontinue this processor soon, leaving the market to AMD, NSC and IDT. AMD should sell 4M processors in Q398 and 5M processors in Q498.
