You just ran the same argument a few posts ago, stating that NSCP was the first to "webbify"
servers. Make up your mind. If NSCP can be first on the web, MSFT can be firston the PC.


There is a difference between the two. In one case (MSFT), it's just another rendition of software but on a different hardware platform (hardly revolutionary). In the other case (NSCP), it's an entirely new paradigm in the way of computing, in terms of globally-distributed systems, seamlessly tied together. And to do so requires some new technology and concepts that did not exist before, whereas MSFT did not introduce any new concepts with their OS.

Microsoft and Viagra

Hey, guys, try this out:

1. Open a new document in Word
2. Type "Unable to follow directions" (without the quotes)
3. Highlight the entire sentence you just typed
4. Click Tools; Thesaurus (or hit shift-F7 to open the thesaurus)
